Tropical Storm Fay has reached New Jersey








Typhoon Fay has made landfall in New Jersey, around 10 miles north-upper east of Atlantic City, as per the National Hurricane Center. 
The tempest contains most extreme supported breezes of around 50 mph, with higher blasts. It's moving north at 14 mph and should get a move on through the night and overnight as it travels through southeastern New York and western New England.
A tropical storm warning extends hundreds of miles from southern New Jersey to Rhode Island, the central energy and light district, for widespread power outages affecting tens of thousands across the state.
The storm has a maximum wind speed of 50 miles per hour and moves north at 14 miles per hour,
Fay is expected to fall 2 to 4 inches of rain on Friday, with the possibility of sudden flooding in parts of the central Atlantic Ocean and southern New England, according to the hurricane center.
